Paper hearts

()
With all the fuzzy bears, candy hearts, and coconut-cherry filled chocolates, Valentine's Day can seem pretentious, rather than about appreciating the people you love. Although, I may not receive a fuzzy bear of my own, this is no reason to not like what the day stands for.

Instead, maybe cupid's arrow is meant for just one heart, rather than two. The one heart that holds and protects ones desires, hopes, and dreams.

Your heart.

I think the most important love is self-love. No one is going to love you, if you don't love yourself first.

I realize Valentine's Day is seven days away, but I don't plan on waiting for one day to love myself. This type of love should occur everyday.

So, write on your own paper heart a sweet something. Keep it safe and remind yourself everyday how special you really are.

Until next time,

C&A

Challenge: Sore Muscles
One of my goals for 2012 is to exercise regularly and work towards a lifetime of fitness. Working out has been a great stress relief, but the sore muscles, not so much. Just getting out of bed is a task. However, I have some remedies for anyone that needs post-workout relief.

Action: Finding relief
After each workout, complete your cool down and stretch. Seems pretty simple, (because it is).
Stretch your body

Take a bubble bath and relax.
Take a bubble bath with Epsom salt (Wine is optional)

Drink tea made to help the body heal.
Drink Yogi Green Tea Muscle Recovery

I keep Icy Hot in my cabinet at all times.
Put on before you go to bed. It will help soothe your muscles.

Have fun today. If you are are football fan, don't take the game too seriously. Both teams get paid regardless of who wins.

Enlightened

Even without permission, some people feel entitled to be a critic. Sometimes people try to place doubt in your mind, play down your success, or tell you what you can't do.

If your always trying to appease the masses, you will never focus on what makes you happy. It's okay to offer advice, wisdom, or knowledge. However, to be condescending towards ones success or achievement is unflattering.

If people are worried about what you're doing, then you must be doing something right. Those who do not appreciate the success of others, may never experience success of their own.

My world consists of friends that are encouraging, caring, and reliable. There will always critics out there, but that doesn't mean they have to be your friends. Keep striving to do your best and attract positive and progressive people in your life.

Until next time,
